Who acupuncture is for

Keeping the Flathead Moving.

  • Stress and an overloaded nervous system
  • Neck, shoulder and jaw tension, tension headaches
  • Restless sleep and low energy

From last week's sprain to the back pain you've had for years. Find what's driving it, treat it, and retrain how you move so it stays gone.

  • Sprains, strains and overuse injuries
  • Any orthopedic pain
  • Long-standing pain that keeps coming back

About

Keegan Wold

DAc, L.Ac. · LICENSED ACUPUNCTURIST IN MONTANA

Keegan was born and raised in Whitefish and has spent his whole life exploring the Flathead Valley and the rest of Montana. He grew up playing football, basketball and track and field, and today you'll find him skiing, hiking, climbing, and chasing waves whenever he gets the chance.

That lifetime of sport led him to Montana State University, where he earned a B.S. in Kinesiology with a minor in Coaching. He went on to earn his Doctorate of Acupuncture (DAc) from Five Branches University in Santa Cruz, California, specializing in sports medicine. His clinical focus is motor point and trigger point acupuncture combined with corrective exercise: relieving the pain, then retraining the movement patterns behind it so the results last.

For the past decade, Keegan has worked as a personal trainer, coach and group fitness instructor, with a coaching history ranging from youth sports to Division I training floors. He's certified in Pain-Free Performance and assisted PNF stretching, and he's a licensed acupuncturist in Montana.

Now back home, Keegan is focused on giving back to the community that raised him, including weekly community acupuncture at Eartha Collective that makes care accessible to everyone. Whether you're training for your next season, coming back from an injury, or just want to move without pain, Keegan brings clinic-level care to you.

How acupuncture works

Find it. Treat it. Keep it gone.

Keegan's approach brings together Western education and Eastern tradition. Modern sports medicine explains what the needles do in your nerves and muscles. Traditional acupuncture guides how to treat the whole person. Every treatment follows the same three steps.

01

Find it

An orthopedic assessment pinpoints the joint, muscle or movement pattern behind your pain. Traditional diagnosis looks at the whole picture: sleep, stress, energy and how well your body is recovering.

02

Treat it

Motor point and trigger point acupuncture releases tight, overworked muscles, increases blood flow and prompts the release of your body's natural pain relievers. Traditional points restore the smooth flow of qi and blood and shift your nervous system into rest and repair. Tuina, gua sha and cupping complete the treatment.

03

Keep it gone

Corrective exercise retrains the movement patterns that caused the problem, so relief lasts beyond the table and you stay ahead of the next injury.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Does acupuncture hurt?

Most people feel little to nothing as the needles go in. They're hair-thin and single-use. You may feel a dull ache, warmth or a quick muscle twitch, which is a sign the treatment is working on the muscle.

What does each session include?

Every house call is the full experience, with nothing extra to add on. Keegan arrives with everything, sets up your space, and tailors each session to how you're feeling that day:

  • Motor point and trigger point acupuncture
  • Tuina bodywork, gua sha and cupping as needed
  • Corrective exercises to keep you progressing between visits

Your first visit also includes a full health history and orthopedic assessment. Prefer no needles? Bodywork sessions include everything except acupuncture.

What's the difference between acupuncture and dry needling?

Both use the same thin, sterile needles. Dry needling is a technique focused on trigger points, the tight knots in muscle that cause pain and restricted movement. Acupuncture is a complete system of care: it can target those same muscular trigger points and motor points, and also addresses the whole body, including stress, sleep, recovery and overall balance. Keegan's training combines both, so you get precise muscle-focused work within a full acupuncture treatment.

Do I have to be an athlete?

Not at all. Keegan's background is in sports medicine, but anyone dealing with pain, tightness, stress or an injury will benefit.

What's the difference between a house call and seeing Keegan at Eartha Collective?

House calls are a premium, all-inclusive experience in your home, with longer sessions and every service included. At Eartha Collective, Keegan sees patients in the clinic on Tuesdays and Thursdays, plus community acupuncture on Wednesday evenings. Each is booked separately.

Do you take insurance?

House calls are self-pay. Acupuncture is often eligible for HSA or FSA funds, so check with your plan, and Keegan can provide a detailed receipt. Eartha Collective accepts most major insurance providers for clinic visits; contact them to confirm your coverage.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on what you're working on. Many people feel a difference after the first visit; longer-standing issues usually take a series. Keegan will recommend a plan after your first assessment.

What areas do you serve?

Anywhere within about 45 minutes of downtown Whitefish. Travel within 15 minutes is included; farther locations have a small travel fee.

Can I book just bodywork, without needles?

Yes. Bodywork sessions are available in 60, 90 and 120 minutes.

Can two people book together?

Yes. When two people book back to back at the same address, the second person's travel fee is waived and they get 10% off.

Do you offer gift cards?

Yes, you can buy them online. Recipients contact Keegan to book, and he applies the gift card to their visit.

Do you treat kids and teens?

Yes. Athletes under 18 need a parent or guardian to sign a consent form, and an adult must be home during the visit.

What's your cancellation policy?

Cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours ahead for a full refund or a free reschedule. Cancellations inside 24 hours and no-shows aren't refunded.
